I have been a little quiet for the last few weeks because a lot of change is going on in our lives. We have only share this news with our closest friends and family, but I figured it was time to let you all in on the excitement!

For starters...

As many of you know, my husband is active duty military. Last week, he graduated from his training here in Texas surrounded by both of our families!

However, this exciting accomplishment means that our lives are about to get a little more hectic! In 10 days we will pack up our home in Texas and move to New Mexico for Ben's last phase of training, taking only the necessities with us! Once he completes this training, we will drive across the country -- this time moving to South Carolina for our 4 year assignment! All of our belongings and furniture will meet us there. While it will be bittersweet moving from my home-state of Texas, we are so excited to see what God has in store for us as we branch off on our own!

That brings me to the second announcement...

While our family thinks we are crazy buying a house without even seeing it, we really feel like this opportunity was placed in our laps at just the right time! Our house will be built in South Carolina this summer and will be ready for us when we move there. Again, the timing us just pretty darn perfect!

What does this mean for my business?

I get asked this question a lot: "Will you keep your business open?" And the answer is a huge YES! I am definitely keeping All Things Lu open and always welcome the business! I'll be boxing up all my supplies and folding up my office table in the hopes of continuing projects as if nothing has changed but my zip code. While I am a little anxious about working out the logistics, I am also excited to face this new chapter of our lives! The simple fact that I can take it anywhere is one of the greatest blessings of this small business. I am so thankful to have the support of my husband, family, friends, and all of you as we make this move!

I am also in the process of transitioning into one instagram account! While this is a little intimidating, I have realized it is just too difficult for me to manage two accounts. I am not nearly as active on my personal account, only posting during major holidays/life events. I have been so encouraged by you all that I feel confident that this is what is best for me. This will also help me challenge myself to show up more and to reveal more of the hands behind the pictures you see!

So, if you haven't done so already and you want to see how this moving journey unfolds, follow me @all_things_lu !

Can I ask something of you?

Will you begin praying for us as we make this transition?

We don't always know what is in store for our future, but we do know that God is in control and will lead us where we are meant to be. Pray for safety as we travel, patience with each other in our marriage, that all our preparations for the move will hold, and that our overly-anxious dog won't have a heart attack (kidding, but not kidding).
