I find gift giving for my parents more difficult as I grow older, no matter the holiday. Relationships continue to evolve and I can't help but be thankful for parents who cared more about shaping me into a person of morals and character, instead of just trying to be my friend. How do you tell someone "I love you", while also communicating, "thanks for putting up with my crazy teenage self all those years"?

First things first -- a hand-written card. At the bare minimum, send your mom a card with a hand-written note inside. Often the words you say mean more than anything you buy. Be thoughtful, thankful, and genuine and it will go a long way.

Mother's Day will be her before you know it so today I want to share some of my favorite pieces for moms! Links below!
